Best coding bootcamp: what Reddit says and what job ads ask for

Job-ad data: October 2026 · Editor: · Updated

This guide answers the "best coding bootcamp reddit" question with Reddit posters' own words, official sources and a checklist, because no source we read ranks coding bootcamps. A coding bootcamp is worth it only if ads for the job you want name the skills it teaches and no cheaper route teaches them.

A bootcamp is a short paid course, neither a degree nor an exam-based certification. The bootcamps we priced cost $300 to $11,900, compared with $459 to $733 for a Google course plus one exam. SQL, a database language, appeared in 42% of the ads for US data analysts in October 2026 (Adzuna, a job-ad search site). Both refund guarantees we read require a bachelor's degree or relevant experience (one asks for both), so a career changer with neither would not qualify. The bootcamps we could price and read terms for teach data analytics and cybersecurity, not software development. Our Adzuna figures count certification phrases, plus two or three skill words per role, in US job ads. They do not count bootcamps or degree requirements, and they include no software-developer, web-developer or UX-designer ads. For candid views, see what Reddit says.

Start with one evening, even if you have no target job yet. Pick two roles from the first four rows of the job-ad table, read 10 real ads for each on a job site and write down the skills and certifications they name. If one of your roles is data analyst or security analyst, use the 7-day free trial of the matching Google course on Coursera (an online course platform) before you pay for any bootcamp. The first-step section gives the full plan.

What is a coding bootcamp?

A coding bootcamp is an intensive paid course, run by a private company, that trains people for a tech job in weeks or months. The label also covers data, cybersecurity and UX (user experience) design courses. Springboard, a US provider, runs both its cybersecurity and data analytics bootcamps online over six months. It asks for 10 to 20 hours a week for cybersecurity and 10 to 15 for data analytics (Springboard course pages, archive copies of October 2, 2026, saved on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine).

Finishing a bootcamp is different from passing a certification exam set by an industry body. A bootcamp can include an exam, though: Springboard's cybersecurity page lists the CompTIA Security+ exam (an entry-level security certification from CompTIA, an IT certification body) as a program requirement. Our guide to certificate vs degree explains how degrees, course certificates and certifications differ.

The four bootcamps we read differ in price, guarantee and refund terms:

Bootcamp Price Job guarantee Refund window
Springboard Cybersecurity $11,900 ($10,900 upfront) Conditional refund; needs a bachelor's degree or a year of relevant work or military service Not read
Springboard Data Analytics $11,300 ($8,900 upfront) Conditional refund; needs a bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work Not read
Coding Ninjas Data Analytics Monthly price in Indian rupees only None, says the page 7 days from batch start
Codebasics Data Analytics 6.0 $300 None described 30 days

Are coding bootcamps still worth it in 2026?

A coding bootcamp pays off for a career changer when three conditions hold: ads for the target job name the skills the bootcamp teaches, the bootcamp publishes outcomes you can check, and no cheaper route teaches the same skills. Price is the easiest test to start with, because the routes we priced cost $300 to $11,900 (see the cost comparison).

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the federal agency for job and pay data, sets out the usual entry route for each occupation in its Occupational Outlook Handbook. It lists a bachelor's degree as the typical entry-level education for software developers, web developers, data scientists and information security analysts. That level is what the BLS considers typical, not a legal rule. For web developers and digital designers, the BLS adds that requirements range from a high school diploma to a bachelor's degree, and that candidates may not need specific credentials if they can show their abilities through prior work or projects. A bootcamp graduate without a degree may apply for jobs where a degree is the usual route in.

Computer support is the exception. The BLS page for computer support specialists says user support specialists typically need some college courses and network support specialists typically need an associate degree (a two-year undergraduate degree). It sets no single level for the job as a whole.

What do job ads name for the jobs bootcamps train for?

We count the skills and certifications that US job ads name for the roles bootcamps train for. In October 2026, the phrase sql appeared in 42% of 6,094 US data-analyst ads on Adzuna. A share here is the part of the counted ads that contain the phrase. A phrase in an ad shows that the employer named it, not that the job requires it.

Some phrases need a short explanation. SIEM (security information and event management) is the alert software a SOC (security operations center) team uses to watch for attacks. Power BI is Microsoft's reporting tool, and pl-300 is the code of Microsoft's Power BI exam. The phrase cysa stands for CompTIA CySA+, an analyst exam. The phrases comptia a and comptia security stand for CompTIA A+ (an IT-support certification) and CompTIA Security+; both are approximate, because an ad that says only "Security+" is not counted.

The two Google phrases are names of Coursera courses, not exams. In October 2026, the phrase google cybersecurity appeared in none of the 8,110 US security-analyst ads on Adzuna.

Job a bootcamp trains for US ads counted Skill phrase (share of ads) Certification phrase (share of ads) BLS typical entry-level education
Data analyst 6,094 sql 42%; python 29%; power bi 25% google data analytics 7 of 6,094; pl-300 4 of 6,094 Bachelor's (data scientists; not a data-analyst figure)
Security analyst 8,110 siem 5.1% comptia security 1.4%; google cybersecurity 0 of 8,110 Bachelor's, plus under 5 years of related work
SOC analyst (small sample, read with care) 233 siem 58% comptia security 7%; cysa 15% Same BLS occupation as security analyst
IT support 2,745 windows 43% comptia a 20% No single level
Software developer Not counted Not counted Not counted Bachelor's, computer or related field
Web developer or UX designer Not counted Not counted Not counted Typically bachelor's; BLS says high school diploma to bachelor's

Skill and certification phrases in US job ads for the careers bootcamps train for, October 2026. The BLS column uses the closest BLS occupation we read: data scientists for data analysts, information security analysts for security and SOC analysts, computer support specialists for IT support. The last two rows use software developers and web developers and digital designers. Source: Adzuna API, ads matched by phrase; BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook, read October 2026. Can coding bootcamps get you a job?

Coding bootcamps can get some graduates a job, but we found no source that says how many bootcamp graduates get one overall. Each placement figure describes one school's chosen group, so read how it is defined before you read the number. A bootcamp that says it gets you a job should be able to show you that definition before you pay.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the US federal agency that enforces consumer financial protection law, gives an example of what can go wrong. Its April 17, 2024 consent order is a settlement order that BloomTech, a coding bootcamp formerly called Lambda School, accepted without admitting or denying the findings. In it, the CFPB found that BloomTech "did not provide the job placements that it advertised to prospective students."

How are coding bootcamp job placement rates measured?

The four sources below count different groups over different time windows.

Source Who is counted as placed Time window
CIRR, a voluntary reporting standard Graduates of schools that report, split by job type (full-time, part-time, contract, freelance) and by in-field or out-of-field work 90, 180 and 360 days after graduation
California regulation 5 CCR 74112 Graduates employed in the field with documented proof, divided by graduates available for employment Work beginning within six months after the program
Springboard (provider claim, labeled December 2023) "Job-qualified individuals" who reported an offer Offer within 12 months of graduation
Coding Ninjas (provider claim, no date given) Learners who completed the program Not stated

Source: CIRR data page, the Cornell Law School Legal Information Institute copy of 5 CCR 74112, Springboard pages (Wayback Machine, October 2, 2026) and Coding Ninjas page, read October 7, 2026 unless stated.

CIRR is the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting, a nonprofit whose members publish graduation, placement and salary data to one standard. On October 7, 2026, its data page listed reports for three schools: Code Platoon, Codesmith and Hacktiv8. The latest period listed was 2023-2024. A school that is not on that page has no report there for you to check; ask the school whether it reports to CIRR elsewhere.

California's rule, 5 CCR 74112 (section 74112 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations), applies to private postsecondary schools regulated in California. Under it, graduates count as "employed in the field" only if they are gainfully employed beginning within six months after they complete the program. Their employment has to be reported, and the school needs documented verification of it. The rate divides them by graduates available for employment, which means all graduates minus those unavailable for work. California's Education Code, section 94929.5, also requires institutions to publish job placement rates in a School Performance Fact Sheet for programs designed to lead to employment. Ask a California-approved school for that sheet.

In archive copies of October 2, 2026, Springboard's cybersecurity page shows a 12-month job placement rate of 85.6% for all of its Career Tracks (its name for its bootcamp programs), not only cybersecurity, and its data analytics page shows 89.4%. Both figures are labeled December 2023, nearly three years before we read the pages. Springboard describes each figure as the share "of job-qualified individuals who reported an offer" who received it within 12 months of graduation. "Job-qualified" is Springboard's term, and the page, as we read it, does not define it. The figures appear to leave out enrollees who did not meet Springboard's job-qualified rules or did not report an offer. They are provider claims, not audited.

Coding Ninjas prices its bootcamp in Indian rupees. Its data analytics bootcamp page says: "According to our records, 95% of learners who completed the program have secured suitable job opportunities." The page gives no period, no definition of a suitable job and no audit.

How do bootcamp job guarantees work?

The two guarantees we read, both from Springboard, are refund promises with conditions: you may get your money back if you meet every requirement and still do not land a qualifying job. Neither promises a job.

Springboard's cybersecurity bootcamp page says: "If you complete all course and job search requirements on time and still don't secure a qualifying role, you may be eligible for a full post-completion refund. Terms apply." To be eligible, you need a bachelor's degree, a year of relevant work experience or a year of relevant military experience. You must also finish all mandatory coursework, core projects, career tasks and the CompTIA Security+ exam on time, then meet job-search requirements after the course (networking, applications and interviewing).

The data analytics bootcamp page sets a higher entry bar for its guarantee: a bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience. A career changer without a degree would not qualify for that refund. The cybersecurity refund is open without a degree only if you have one year of relevant work or military experience. Springboard's full terms sit on a separate guarantee page that we did not read, so ask for them before you sign.

Coding Ninjas says it offers no job guarantee: its data analytics page answers its own question about one with "No, and please don't believe anyone who says otherwise." Codebasics writes: "We don't make fake job guarantees."

We did not read guarantee terms for any data science bootcamp or any UI/UX design bootcamp. For those, ask the same three questions: who qualifies, what counts as a qualifying job and what you must do during the job search.

Pay when you get a job: what is an income share agreement?

An income share agreement (ISA) is a deal to pay for a course later, out of your income, and in two enforcement orders the CFPB treated ISAs as loans. Both orders were settlements; neither is a court ruling on every ISA. Offers to pay after you are hired, or after placement, may be an ISA or a loan from a separate lender, so ask which one it is.

In its April 2024 order, the CFPB said: "BloomTech's ISAs are loans that create a debt to be repaid, through an income-based repayment plan." It also found that BloomTech had told students otherwise. According to the order, students were told that the ISA was not a loan, created no debt, carried no finance charge (the cost of borrowing, in dollars) and was risk-free. The order adds that the finance charge "for some students can be in the thousands of dollars."

Earlier, on September 7, 2021, the CFPB issued an order against Better Future Forward, an ISA provider rather than a bootcamp. The order required loan disclosures, including the finance charge, the amount financed and the annual percentage rate (APR, the yearly cost of borrowing). The CFPB found that Better Future Forward "falsely represented that its ISAs are not loans and do not create debt."

Springboard's two bootcamp pages also list financing through Climb Credit, a lender, for the full tuition plus interest. Whatever the name of the deal, use item 3 of the checklist before you sign.

What salary can you expect after a coding bootcamp?

Official pay figures describe occupations, not bootcamp graduates. The BLS puts the May 2025 median pay of software developers at $135,980 a year; the median is the middle value, so half of workers earn more and half earn less.

Occupation (BLS) Median pay, May 2025
Software developers $135,980
Information security analysts $129,180
Data scientists $120,230
Web and digital interface designers $104,000
Web developers $92,650
Computer support specialists $62,890

Source: BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook, pages listed under Sources.

None of these is a starting salary. Each median covers every worker in the occupation, at every level of experience and with any training. No official source we read reports a cybersecurity bootcamp salary or a data science bootcamp salary (what graduates earn), and none reports coding bootcamp instructor salary.

Springboard's cybersecurity page shows an average salary increase of $23,333 for graduates of its Career Tracks bootcamps who gave their salary before and after the course (archive copy of October 2, 2026). The figure is labeled December 2023. It covers only graduates who chose to report both salaries.

Bootcamp or certification: which costs less?

At the prices we checked, a course plus one certification exam costs less than either Springboard bootcamp: $459 to $733, compared with $8,900 to $11,900. That is the price of one course and one exam, not a full plan for a first job. One self-paced bootcamp, Codebasics, costs $300.

Route What you pay Total
Springboard Cybersecurity Bootcamp (six months, online) $11,900 tuition, or $10,900 if paid upfront $10,900 to $11,900
Springboard Data Analytics Bootcamp (six months, online) $11,300 tuition; $8,900 if paid upfront; month to month, $1,798 × 6 = $10,788 $8,900 to $11,300
Codebasics Data Analytics Bootcamp 6.0 (self-paced) $300 $300
Google Cybersecurity course + CompTIA Security+ exam $49 × 6 months = $294, plus $439 $733; $883 with the $150 Security+ renewal fee due within three years
Google Data Analytics course + Microsoft PL-300 exam $49 × 6 months = $294, plus $165 $459; PL-300 renews free each year
CompTIA A+ (two exams, IT support) $274 × 2 = $548 $548; $623 with the $75 renewal fee due within three years

Source: Springboard pages (archive copies of October 2, 2026), Codebasics (October 7, 2026), Coursera, CompTIA and Microsoft fee pages (checked October 3, 2026); sums by CertWorthIt. CertWorthIt has no commercial relationship with any bootcamp or course provider named on this page.

The rows are not equal comparisons: a bootcamp may add services that a course and an exam lack, such as the job-search help Codebasics lists. The six months of Coursera are our assumption, at Coursera's $49 monthly price; if you finish faster, you pay less. CompTIA renewal needs continuing education credits within the three years: 50 CEUs (continuing education units) for Security+ and 20 for A+. Springboard's cybersecurity page lists the Security+ exam as a requirement, but we did not find whether its tuition covers the exam fee.

Is a cybersecurity bootcamp worth it?

A cybersecurity bootcamp can be worth it if it prepares you for the exams and tools that security ads name, and if you qualify for any guarantee it offers. In October 2026, the phrase comptia security appeared in 1.4% of the ads for US security analysts on Adzuna.

CompTIA requires no experience for Security+ but recommends CompTIA Network+ (a networking exam) and two years in a security or systems administrator job first. The SIEM tools named in the job-ad table are the other thing to look for in a curriculum. Our cybersecurity roadmap sets out the order of the exams, and the Security+ page covers the exam itself.

For Springboard's cybersecurity bootcamp, the price gap is the starting point. Its $11,900 tuition, minus the $733 route through the Google Cybersecurity course and the Security+ exam, leaves $11,167. That difference pays for whatever the bootcamp adds beyond a course and an exam, including a refund promise you cannot use without a bachelor's degree or a year of related work or military service.

Official data names no best cybersecurity bootcamp. Judge any program by the checks in the section on how to judge a bootcamp. For the jobs themselves, see our pages on SOC analysts and cybersecurity analysts.

Is a data analytics or data science bootcamp worth it?

A data analytics bootcamp is worth paying for only if it teaches the tools that data-analyst ads name. Of the 6,094 US data-analyst ads we counted on Adzuna in October 2026, Python appeared in 29% and Power BI in 25%.

The course-name phrase google data analytics appeared in 7 of the 6,094 US data-analyst ads in October 2026. The Google Data Analytics page covers that course, and our data-analyst page covers the rest of what US ads name.

Coding Ninjas data analytics job bootcamp: fees and terms

Coding Ninjas sells a Data Analytics Job Bootcamp "with GenAI" (generative AI, tools that write text or code). Its page, read on October 7, 2026, describes a six-month learning phase followed by placement support until your first job. It shows two monthly "price as low as" figures in Indian rupees and no total fee, so we cannot give a total. According to the page's feature table, one of the two tiers adds IBM courses and the Microsoft PL-300 certification.

The page says Coding Ninjas gives no job guarantee, and it accepts refund requests within 7 days of your batch start date. Its placement claim is quoted in the section on placement rates.

Codebasics data analytics bootcamp: price and refund

Codebasics showed its Data Analytics Bootcamp 6.0 at $300 on October 7, 2026, as self-paced videos with live webinars. It offers a full refund within 30 days and job-search help (resume, LinkedIn and interview practice), and does not describe a job guarantee. The price is about the same as six months of a Google course on Coursera, so the choice comes down to which syllabus matches the ads you read.

Data science bootcamp vs a master's degree

The BLS median pay for data scientists was $120,230 in May 2025. A master's degree (also written "masters") is a degree from a college or university; a bootcamp is not a degree at all. We did not price master's programs or find any official outcome data that compares the two, so start from what data-scientist ads near you ask for.

Are UX design bootcamps worth it?

A UX design bootcamp is worth it only if UX ads in your area ask for what it teaches; our data cannot confirm that because we counted no UX ads. The closest BLS occupation, web and digital interface designers, had a median pay of $104,000 in May 2025.

We read no UX bootcamp terms or prices. Before you pay for one, read 10 UX-designer ads in your area and check whether they ask for a portfolio (samples of your design work), a degree or both. One r/UXDesign poster put it this way: "How you apply design experience is more important than your formal/bootcamp experience" (r/UXDesign).

What does Reddit say about coding bootcamps?

Reddit posters we quote mostly doubt that a bootcamp alone is enough: of the four comments, one recommends IT bootcamps and three are skeptical of bootcamps. Three are below, and the UX section above quotes the fourth. They show arguments people make, not how many people hold each view.

  • A poster answering a retiring US Navy member wrote: "You gotta get right into the field and IT bootcamps are where it's at" (r/ITCareerQuestions).
  • On security jobs, another wrote that a lot of candidates from the bootcamp path "have no idea how computer systems work, or how networks work" (r/SecurityCareerAdvice).
  • On data analytics, a third wrote: "way too many bootcamp grads and fake junior roles, everything wants 3 years" (r/analytics).

How do you judge which bootcamp is best?

Judge a bootcamp on evidence you can check, because the sources we read publish no official ranking. Before you pay, ask for these six things in writing:

  1. Outcomes with a definition. The period, who is counted and who is left out. A CIRR report or a California-style definition (employed in the field within six months, with proof) is a start.
  2. The full guarantee terms. Who qualifies, what counts as a qualifying job and what you must do during the job search.
  3. How you pay. For an ISA or a loan, the APR and the total finance charge.
  4. The refund window. Coding Ninjas allows 7 days from batch start and Codebasics 30 days.
  5. What an exam costs. Whether the tuition covers a certification exam fee, such as the $439 Security+ exam (CompTIA, checked October 3, 2026).
  6. The skills taught against the ads. Compare the syllabus with the skill phrases in 10 ads for your target job.

If a program passes these checks, compare its price with a course plus an exam one last time. What you pay above that route buys whatever the bootcamp adds, so name those extras before you pay for them.

What should you do first?

Spend one evening on job ads before you spend money. If you have a target job, read 10 ads for it in your city; if you have none, pick two roles from the first four rows of the job-ad table and read 10 ads for each. Write down every skill, certification and degree each ad names.

Next, if your roles are in data or security, try the free first week of the matching Google course on Coursera: Google Data Analytics for data roles or Google Cybersecurity for security roles. For web development or UX design we priced no course, so stay with the ads and the six checks above. If you are still studying after the first week, you have a route that costs $49 a month. If a bootcamp still looks better, put its price, guarantee terms and outcome definition next to the cost comparison before you sign anything.

Questions people ask

What is the most respected coding bootcamp?

The sources we checked publish no official ranking of coding bootcamps, so judge each one on evidence you can check. Ask whether it reports outcomes to CIRR (the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting, a nonprofit that sets a voluntary reporting standard for bootcamps). On October 7, 2026, the CIRR data page listed reports for three schools: Code Platoon, Codesmith and Hacktiv8. A listing is not a ranking. Then read the full job-guarantee terms before you sign, and compare the price with an exam-based certification such as CompTIA Security+ (an entry-level security exam), whose exam fee was $439 on CompTIA's US store on October 3, 2026.

Are coding bootcamps still worth it in 2026?

A coding bootcamp pays off in 2026 only if ads for the job you want name the skills it teaches and no cheaper route teaches them. In October 2026, SQL (a database language) appeared in 42% of 6,094 US data-analyst ads we counted on Adzuna, a job-ad search site. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) lists a bachelor's degree as the typical entry-level education for software developers, web developers and data scientists. For web developers and digital designers, the BLS adds that requirements range from a high school diploma to a bachelor's degree, and that candidates may not need specific credentials if they can show their abilities through prior work or projects. A bootcamp graduate without a degree may apply for jobs where a degree is the usual route in.

Are coding bootcamps actually worth the cost compared with a certification?

Springboard's bootcamps cost $11,300 to $11,900 in total tuition, while a Google course plus one certification exam costs $459 to $733. Archive copies of Springboard's pages from October 2, 2026 show total tuition of $11,900 for its six-month cybersecurity bootcamp and $11,300 for its six-month data analytics bootcamp. Six months of the Google Cybersecurity course on Coursera (an online course platform) at $49 a month comes to $294; adding the $439 CompTIA Security+ exam (an entry-level security certification) makes $733. Six months of Google Data Analytics plus the $165 Microsoft PL-300 exam (a Power BI reporting exam) makes $459 (Coursera, CompTIA and Microsoft prices checked October 3, 2026). The bootcamp is worth the difference only if it adds something you would not get alone, such as a refund guarantee for which you qualify.

Do employers respect coding bootcamps?

No employer survey on bootcamps appears in the sources we read, so no data here shows how employers rate them. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) lists a bachelor's degree as the usual entry level for software developers, web developers, data scientists and information security analysts. That is what the BLS considers typical, not a legal rule. For web developers and digital designers, it adds that candidates may not need specific credentials if they can show their abilities through prior work or projects. Our Adzuna counts (Adzuna is a job-ad search site) cover certification phrases and two or three skill words per role in US job ads; we did not count bootcamp mentions. One r/SecurityCareerAdvice poster wrote that a lot of candidates from the bootcamp path do not know how computer systems or networks work; that is one person's view, not a measure.

How does a coding bootcamp job guarantee work?

The job guarantees we read are refund promises with conditions. Springboard's cybersecurity bootcamp page (archive copy of October 2, 2026) says you may be eligible for a full refund if you complete all course and job-search requirements on time and still do not get a qualifying role. To qualify, you need a bachelor's degree or one year of relevant work or military experience, and you must finish the coursework, projects, career tasks and the CompTIA Security+ exam (an entry-level security certification) on time. Its data analytics bootcamp asks for a bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work, so a career changer with neither would not qualify for either refund. Coding Ninjas says on its page that it gives no job guarantee, and Codebasics writes that it makes no "fake job guarantees."

Can you pay for a coding bootcamp after you get hired?

Some bootcamps have offered an income share agreement (ISA), a deal to pay for the course later out of your income. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is the US federal agency that enforces consumer financial protection law. In an April 17, 2024 consent order (a settlement order the company accepted without admitting or denying the findings), it said that the ISAs of the coding bootcamp BloomTech are loans that create a debt. In a 2021 order against an ISA provider, Better Future Forward, it required loan disclosures, including the annual percentage rate (APR, the yearly cost of borrowing). Both orders were settlements, not court rulings on every ISA. Before you sign any pay-after-hired deal, ask for the APR and the total finance charge (the cost of borrowing, in dollars) in writing.

What do coding bootcamp job placement rates measure?

Each placement rate counts a different group of graduates, so read the definition first. Springboard's figure, labeled December 2023 on its pages, covers "job-qualified individuals" (a term the page, as we read it, does not define) who reported an offer and received it within 12 months. California regulation 5 CCR 74112, which covers schools under California's rules, counts graduates employed in the field within six months, with documented proof, against graduates available for employment. CIRR (the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting, a nonprofit with a voluntary reporting standard) tracks graduates at 90, 180 and 360 days. A rate without its definition and period cannot be compared with any other.

Is a coding bootcamp worth it, according to Reddit?

The Reddit posters we quote mostly doubt that a bootcamp alone is enough. One r/ITCareerQuestions poster recommended IT bootcamps. Posters on r/SecurityCareerAdvice, r/analytics and r/UXDesign were skeptical, writing about gaps in basics, crowded junior roles and the weight of applied experience. These are four individual comments read in October 2026, not a measure of how many people agree.

How much do coding bootcamp graduates earn?

No official source we read reports pay for bootcamp graduates. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) gives May 2025 median pay (the middle value, so half earn more and half less) of $135,980 for software developers, $129,180 for information security analysts and $120,230 for data scientists. Those medians cover every worker in each occupation, not starters. Springboard's cybersecurity page reports an average salary increase of $23,333 for graduates who reported their salary before and after the course, labeled December 2023; it is a provider claim, not audited.
